VTS : the Link between SPACEBEL and ESA’s ATV-4 Albert Einstein

VTS, the Visualization Tool for Space Data of CNES developed by SPACEBEL, is being used on the screens of the ATV control centre at CNES in Toulouse.
The satellite simulation toolkit, the main function of which is to animate satellites in 2D or 3D environments, proved very useful during the docking of ESA’s ATV-4 with the International Space Station (ISS) on June 15th 2013.

Watch this video for further details.

It is not the first time that SPACEBEL is involved in an Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) mission of ESA.
We previously contributed to the development of the Jules Verne ATV, the first unmanned ISS supply spacecraft in a series of 5 launched in March 2008.
