SPACEBEL Contributing to the PROBA-V Mission Exploitation Platform

The PROBA-V Mission Exploitation Platform is devoted to the vegetation user community and aimed at enabling an easy access to the data produced directly or derived from the PROBA-V satellite. Users can also develop and deploy their own applications on a scalable platform with access to the full data archive from PROBA-V, SPOT-Vegetation.

In partnership with ESA, Belspo and VITO, SPACEBEL is among the stakeholders of the project. SPACEBEL is more particularly in charge of developing the Data Manager component. The company is also responsible for the standardisation and the ESA open exploitation platform framework activities. The first MEP PROBA-V was released on January 26th, 2016.

PROBA-V was launched on May 7th, 2013. SPACEBEL is responsible for the on-board software of the satellite, the ground control software, and the satellite simulator.
