IT Manager

In order to prepare the future and support our growth, we are looking for an IT Manager. The vacant position is located in our offices in Hoeilaart (nearby Brussels) where a young and dynamic team is working in a serene atmosphere fostering respectful exchanges.

Our IT Manager is responsible for providing to all company workers and developers in Belgium and France all hardware and software facilities along with the associated support service according to the requirements and specifications as approved by the General Management.
Our systems are based on Microsoft and Unix technologies.

As a foretaste of your job content, here is an overview of your main tasks :

Lead the IT team, manage and assess their performance.
Lead and manage all activities related to the Company IT facilities: network system, design, procedure documentation, hardware/software database, administration.
Develop relationships with external clients, suppliers and organizations to assess their technology, support, and security needs.
Establish the annual budget for the company's IT infrastructure and monitor it throughout the year.
Manage installed equipment and software : inventory, location, migration, maintenance, spares, consumables, allocation to users, ... .
Manage (organize and control) the back-up service and archiving.
Ensure the protection of computer facilities (organize and maintain safety with access security control and protection against cyberattacks).
Monitor the progress of actions related to the improvement of the Computer Services Process.
Conduct system audits to identify affected technologies, as well as verify application results.
Manage office moves and building extensions.
Manage telecommunications systems and solutions.
Travel to the SPACEBEL sites in Liège and Toulouse whenever needed.

Higher education degree (Master or Bachelor with expertise) ideally in computer science.
At least 10 years of experience as System Engineer Unix. A first experience as IT Manager is also required.
Leadership and capacity to manage a team are essential.
Fluent in French, English and Dutch.
Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, access points and phone solution.
Experience in leading and managing IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructure across various technologies.
Strong knowledge in Unix technologies : Red Hat, Centos, Solaris,Ubuntu, SuSE, Opensuse, linux firewalls, LVM, Samba, Bourne, Korn, C-shell, Perl, redmine, svn, gitlab, Jenkins, testlink, VMware, …
Strong experience in :
- building new servers and setup the needed security /patching , upgrade the OS and application ;
- setting up and maintaining UNIX user accounts and access management systems;
- installing and upgrading VMware system esxi (5.x, 6.x & 7.x) software and manage 3 Vcenters on Simplivity solution;
- implementing network and computer system policies.
Knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows servers 2012-2019.
Experience in Backup Software, Databases (postgress, maria-db, MySQL), Firewalls & security software (paloalto, ssh, ssl-box, pulse-secure), web development, networking (TCP-IP, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, POP3, DNS, NIS, Routers and switches, VLAN, …), telecom and cybersecurity.
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with flair for influencing key decision makers and winning support for change. Highly customer focused.

Met het oog op de toekomst en onze verdere ontplooiing zijn we op zoek naar een IT-Manager. De openstaande betrekking betreft onze vestiging in Hoeilaart (nabij Brussel), waar een jong en dynamisch team samenwerkt in een serene en respectvolle sfeer die onderlinge uitwisselingen stimuleert.

Als IT-Manager verstrek je onze werknemers en ontwikkelaars, zowel in België als in Frankrijk, de nodige hardware- en software-faciliteiten. Bovendien bied je de vereiste support en service aan in overeenstemming met de richtlijnen en noden zoals bepaald door de Algemene Directie.
Onze systemen zijn op Microsoft- en Unix-technologieën gebaseerd.

Een kort overzicht van je takenpakket als voorproefje:

Ons IT-team leiden, hun prestaties aansturen en evalueren.
Alle activiteiten op het vlak van IT-voorzieningen leiden en beheren: netwerksysteem, ontwerp, documentatie van procedures, hardware- en softwaredatabase, administratie.
Relaties met externe en interne klanten alsook leveranciers opbouwen om hun behoeften qua technologie, ondersteuning en beveiliging te kunnen inschatten.
Het jaarlijkse IT-budget van het bedrijf opstellen en opvolgen.
Alle geïnstalleerde hardware en software beheren : inventaris, locatie, migratie, onderhoud, reserveonderdelen, verbruiksgoederen, toewijzing aan gebruikers, ... .
De back-up en archiefdiensten organiseren en controleren.
Instaan voor de bescherming van onze computerfaciliteiten: veiligheid inzake toegangscontrole en bescherming tegen cyberaanvallen.
Toezien op de maatregelen ter verbetering van onze IT-diensten.
Systeemaudits uitvoeren om de getroffen technologieën te identificeren en de toepassingsresultaten te analyseren.
Onze telecommunicatiesystemen en –oplossingen beheren.
De verhuizing van kantoren of uitbreiding van gebouwen opvolgen.
Afreizen naar onze vestigingen in Luik en Toulouse indien nodig.

Je bent in het bezit van een diploma hoger onderwijs (master of bachelor met ervaring) bij voorkeur in informatica.
Je hebt minstens 10 jaar ervaring als Unix-systeemingenieur. Een eerste ervaring als IT-manager is een must.
Leiderschap en people management zijn essentieel.
Je spreekt vloeiend Frans, Engels en Nederlands.
Je hebt een uitstekende praktische kennis van IT-systemen, beveiliging, netwerk- en systeembeheer, databases en datastoragesystemen, access- en telefonieoplossingen.
Je bent bedreven in het beheer van IT-projecten en het opzetten van IT-infrastructuur voor uiteenlopende technologieën.
Unix technologieën hebben voor jou geen enkel geheim: Red Hat, Centos, Solaris, Ubuntu, SuSE, Opensuse, Linux firewalls, LVM, Samba, Bourne, Korn, C-shell, Perl, redmine, svn, gitlab, Jenkins, testlink, VMware, ...
Je bent heel ervaren in :
- het opzetten van nieuwe servers en het configureren van de nodige beveiliging/correctie, het upgraden van het besturingssysteem en de applicaties;
- het aanmaken en beheren van UNIX-gebruikersaccounts en -systemen voor toegangsbeheer;
- het installeren en upgraden van VMware system esxi software (5.x, 6.x & 7.x) en beheren van 3 Vcenters op Simplivity;
- netwerk- en systeembeleid.
Je kennis van Windows-10 en Windows 2012-2019 servers laat niets te wensen over.
Je weet alles af van back-upsoftware, databases (postgress, maria-db, MySQL), firewalls en beveiligingssoftware (paloalto, ssh, ssl-box, pulse-secure), webontwikkeling, netwerken (TCP-IP, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, POP3, DNS, NIS, Routers en switches, VLAN, ...), telecommunicatie en cyberbeveiliging.
