Two years ago, on July 1st 2023, the European Space Agency (ESA) launched the Euclid space telescope with a bold mission: to explore the “dark” side of the Universe. By observing billions of galaxies across more than a third of the sky, Euclid aims to unravel the mysteries of dark matter and dark energy – the invisible forces that shape the cosmos and drive its accelerated expansion.

During six years, this ambitious project will be pushing the boundaries of our understanding of cosmic evolution.

SPACEBEL is proud to be part of the journey. Our team developed the Euclid control and data management software which controls the Euclid spacecraft along with its sub-systems and commands the instrument in charge of the acquisition of Euclid’s impressive images. We also covered the associated Ground Support Equipment and services.
